Hand-built to its original 1970’s specifications, the Neve 33609JD Stereo Compressor offers comprehensive limiting and compression facilities for music recording, mastering, post production and broadcast applications. The combination of hand-wired transformers and gain reduction circuitry produces a sound quality which is often duplicated, yet seldom achieved by any other compressor / limiter. Coupled with the unit’s unparalleled ease of use, this inimitable sound quality has made the 33609 a worldwide studio standard for three decades.

The hallmark 33609 compression sound is very smooth, and extreme settings may be used with the compression or limiting remaining relatively transparent. After several versions of this classic Neve compressor over the years, today's 33609JD provides the best of both worlds: original Neve 33609 sound, with enhanced internal and external I/O switching compared to the original model. The 33609JD also utilises a discrete output stage like the original model, for a slightly warmer sound that is preferred by many professionals over previous iterations. Multiple units can be easily linked for multi-channel operation.

SPL Dual-Band De-Esser RPM Dual-Band De-Esser

Back in the 1990's, we developed an alternative way to process signals in order to reduce sibilance based on phase cancellation. Unlike the traditional compression methods, this processing is much more unobtrusive and simplifies control to one single parameter. The SPL De-Esser quickly became a standard reference among recording studios, broadcast stations and live sound engineers.
The new Dual-Band De-Esser module expands on this concept by making use of two frequency bands. Two de-esser stages increase the effectiveness of the processing without introducing any audible artifacts. At the same time, processing can be much more targeted, since the low and high bands can be used together or independently. Furthermore, input signals are automatically adjusted so the processing is uniform, regardless of the distance between source and microphone, and the Male/Female button allow it to perfectly adapt to male or female voices.

The new E Series Dynamics Module is one of two new modules for the X-Rack/Mynx SuperAnalogue™ modular mixing and processing system. The new E Series Modules reproduce the legendary sonic signature of an early 80’s classic, the SL 4000 E console channel strip, which was featured on countless 1980’s recordings.

The E Series Dynamics Module features a compressor/limiter and an expander/gate, both of which return faithfully to the circuitry and key components which define the sound of the original SL 611E Series channel strip. A true RMS converter is used in the side chain while the gain element is an all discrete design identical to the Class A VCA chip used in the original unit. The compressor contains additional switching options to defeat the over-easy curve and to use a linear release instead of the more usual logarithmic curve. The result is a compressor with three distinct voices, each with its own musical character.

The BC1mk2 provides smooth buss compression associated with one of the most famous buss compressors from the mid 80's. Mixing engineers call it the magic "glue" when transparent compression strengthens mixes without compromising clarity. The BC1mk2 provides just that kind of compression bringing cohesion and punch; equally useful for drum buss and instrument compression.
The built-in blend control makes it easy to apply parallel compression by adjusting the mix of dry and compressed signal. A mute-switch is provided for muting the dry signal making it possible to adjust the compression without changing the blend control.
A switchable side-chain filter can be applied at 150Hz which makes the BC1mk2 less responsive to low frequency energy. The external side-chain input makes it possible to have the BC1mk2 pump to an external source.
